JOB DESCRIPTION – Head of Basketball Academy

The Head of the Basketball Academy is the administrative and institutional leader of our flagship center in Shahpur. In this role, you will act as the “Principal” or “Managing Director” of the academy campus. While a separate Technical Head oversees on-court coaching and player development, you will lead the strategic growth, business development, community relations, and day-to-day administrative machinery that allows our student-athletes to thrive.

Key Responsibilities

• Institutional Administration: Manage the overall operations of the Shahpur campus, including budget tracking, asset management, local vendor procurement, and facility maintenance (courts, hostels, mess, medical rooms etc).
• Community & Stakeholder Relations: Act as the primary face of Hi 5 Basketball Academy. Build deep, trusted relationships with local governing bodies (Gram Panchayats), vendors and schools to ensure smooth operations.
• Student Welfare & Operations Compliance: Oversee the non-sporting aspects of the student-athlete lifecycle, including academic tutoring schedules, health/nutrition planning, and adherence to child safety protocols.
• Team & Resource Management: Supervise and mentor non-coaching staff (wardens, administrative assistants, cooks, and security). Partner closely with the Technical Head to ensure coaching requirements match administrative support.

Who You Are

• Experience: 10+ years in institutional management, operations, or administrative leadership. Experience heading a residential school, sports academy campus, hospitality venue, or leading a large-scale rural development project is highly preferred.
• Skills: Strong foundational knowledge of operations, budgeting, and local business development. Excellent conflict-resolution skills and the ability to manage diverse on-ground workforces.
• Language & Local Context: Fluency in Marathi and Hindi is essential to negotiate partnerships and navigate regional government/community networks effectively.
• Mindset: A structured, business-minded administrator who is deeply driven by grassroots social impact and comfortable managing a campus outside major metro limits.

Job Description – Head of Paid Programs

Role Overview
Hi 5 Youth Foundation is launching Hi 5 Hoops, our premium, revenue-generating paid basketball training program designed for urban centers, private schools, and elite academies. We are seeking a visionary, business-minded Head of Paid Programs to build this business unit from the ground up. With 10+ years of corporate or sports business experience, you will treat Hi 5 Hoops as a high-growth startup. You will own the entire P&L (Profit and Loss), lead brand positioning, scale center footprint, and design monetization strategies. The revenue generated through your business unit will directly fuel and cross-subsidize our grassroots non-profit work across India.

Key Responsibilities:

• Business Strategy & P&L Ownership: Define the 3-year business plan for Hi 5 Hoops. Own the revenue targets, operational budgets, pricing strategy, and overall profitability of the paid program vertical.
• Center Acquisition & Expansion: Formulate real estate and partnership models to secure premium court venues (tie-ups with top-tier private schools, gated communities, sports clubs, and indoor arenas).
• Marketing & Customer Acquisition: Design and execute hyper-local marketing campaigns, school activation programs, and digital lead-generation funnels to drive student registrations and recurring subscriptions.
• Product & Experience Design: Elevate the standard of youth sports academies in India. Ensure Hi 5 Hoops delivers a premium experience—spanning high-end apparel, digital progress tracking for parents, and competitive tournament exposures.
• Operations & Team Leadership: Recruit and manage a high-performing operations team, center managers, and customer relation executives. Work closely with the coaching head to ensure coaching quality aligns with a premium fee-paying model.

Who You Are:

• Experience: 10+ years of work experience with a proven track record of scaling a business unit or consumer-facing brand. Experience in sports management, fitness/wellness chains, premium educational franchises (K-12/preschool networks), or subscription-based consumer businesses is highly preferred.
• Commercial Acumen: Strong expertise in financial forecasting, contract negotiation, vendor management, and data-driven marketing.
• Leadership Style: Highly entrepreneurial, comfortable with ambiguity, and possessing a “founder mentality.” You can switch effortlessly from board-room strategy to handling on-ground center operational fire drills.

Job Description – HR Manager

Role Overview
With a multi-state team of 120+ staff and sports coaches, Hi 5 Youth Foundation needs an organized and empathetic HR Manager to lead our HR operations. You will step in the moment a hiring decision is made—owning the entire onboarding process, setting up robust HR systems, managing compliance across 8 states, and serving as the primary support system for our decentralized field teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Seamless Onboarding & Induction: Design and execute a welcoming onboarding experience for corporate staff and remote field coaches. Ensure new joins understand Hi 5’s mission, child safety policies, and internal workflows from Day 1.
• HR Operations & Payroll Management: Oversee daily HR administration, including attendance tracking, leave management, and employee database updates. Partner with the finance team to ensure accurate, timely monthly payroll processing.
• Legal Compliance: Maintain and audit statutory compliances, managing PF (Provident Fund), Professional Tax (PT), and labor law filings etc.
• Employee Support & Grievance Redressal: Act as the first point of contact for employee queries regarding policies, benefits, and workplace issues. Foster an open-door culture that supports both office teams and field staff.
• Policy Implementation & Records: Maintain up-to-date employee handbooks, ensuring strict adherence to internal codes of conduct, prevention of sexual harassment (POSH) guidelines, and child protection policies (POCSO). Keep all physical and digital employee documentation flawless.

Who You Are:

• Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience strictly managing HR operations, payroll, compliance, and onboarding. Prior experience in an NGO, social enterprise, or an organization with a distributed field workforce is highly valued.
• Technical Skills: High proficiency with HRMS platforms, payroll software, Excel, and Indian statutory compliance portals.
