At Hi 5, creating safe spaces for children and communities also means being prepared to respond when an emergency arises.

On September 10, 2026, over 50 Hi 5 staff members and coaches came together at the Hi 5 office for a one-hour CPR and First Aid Training Session, facilitated by the Tech Mahindra Foundation. The session was led by Ms. Mariya and Ms. Akshada, Medical Counsellors, with Ms. Akansha, the Business Development Manager, coordinating on the ground.

Through hands-on demonstrations, the team walked through essential emergency-response skills — from CPR techniques to basic first aid and other life-saving practices. Participants got to practice these skills themselves, building the kind of muscle memory that matters when seconds count.

For an organisation working with children and communities across diverse settings, this kind of preparedness isn’t optional — it’s part of how Hi 5 shows up for the communities it serves every day. The session’s goal was simple: help every member feel confident enough to act, not just aware of what to do.

We’re thankful to the Tech Mahindra Foundation for bringing their expertise to the Hi 5 team and helping us build a safer environment for the children we work with.
