The Pathways to Success team initiated a teacher training program to support Sphoorti Foundation educators—responding to a need for strengthening delivery through English as the Medium of Instruction (EMI).

The training was initiated to address the need for greater confidence and effectiveness in classroom delivery, particularly in English-medium settings.

The structured online program began in February, engaging 10 teachers across 13 sessions.

The program focused on key areas such as pedagogy, confidence building, teacher identity, and curriculum mapping. A pre-assessment was conducted to understand the teachers’ English proficiency levels and tailor the sessions accordingly.

Through the training, teachers explored more effective ways to deliver lessons, keep students engaged, and assess understanding in the classroom. The program also supported educators in building a stronger sense of professional identity and confidence.

Curriculum mapping enabled teachers to plan lessons in a more structured and intentional way, bringing greater clarity to their teaching process.

By strengthening teachers’ ability to deliver content in English, the program aims to expand opportunities for students in the classroom and beyond.

This initiative marks an important step forward for the Pathways to Success program and reflects the continued collaboration with Sphoorti Foundation.
